John McGovern, Director of Engineering, has been with PSX since the company’s inception in 1996.
John is responsible for the innovation, design, programming, installation, oversight, testing and commissioning of audio, video and control system projects.
John’s expertise is in audio; specifically, projects and systems that are large-scale and have highly complex Digital Signal Processing. John guides our clients and our team from system concept, design, installation, to final audio system testing, commissioning and tuning of each sound system. John takes a hand-on, client-centric approach to ensure the success of each project, with a goal of exceeding our client’s expectations.
John has been in the Technology Industry for more than 40 years and has offered his expertise to numerous projects including; The post-Katrina renovation of The Mercedes-Benz Superdome, The Smoothie King Center, Harrah’s New Orleans Casino, The Earnest N. Morial Convention Center, Harrah’s Casino Atlantic City Convention Center and DSP Reprogramming for The Venetian Resort, Las Vegas Ballrooms and Meeting Rooms.
John holds a B.S. in Industrial Technology from Southeastern Louisiana University and has certifications in QSC Q-Sys, Peavey MediaMatrix, BSS London Soundweb, Symetrix Symnet and Bose Control Space audio platforms.
When John is not innovating at PSX, he enjoys outdoor activities including motorcycling, offshore powerboating, engine building and electronics.
